ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR
Jimmy Melio
Jimmy was born and raised in Warminster, PA, and comes from a long line of dancers. His mother and aunt were company members of the Voloshky Ensemble as was his uncle Taras Lewyckyj, the current director of the Ensemble. Following in their footsteps, Jimmy’s dance training began at the age of four in the Voloshky School. He became an apprentice with the Ensemble at the age of 14, and continues to dance as a company member. With Voloshky, Jimmy has had the opportunity to dance as guest artist in productions of the Nutcracker. Jimmy’s three siblings have also been students in the Voloshky school. Jimmy is in his last year of high school and is hoping to continue his dance training with the Duquesne University Tamburitzans next year.
